How paying for a ticket works
There are two ways to pay, and the event page tells you which ones the organizer accepts: by card through Stripe, or straight to the organizer by Interac e-Transfer or cash.
Paying by card
Card payments are handled by Stripe, the payment company behind many of the world’s online stores. Your card number never touches Rallyvio.
Pick your tickets
The price you see on the event page is the total, booking fee included.
Pay on Stripe’s checkout
Enter your card, or use Apple Pay or Google Pay, on a secure Stripe page. Stripe handles your card details. Rallyvio receives the payment status, the amount and what’s needed to issue your tickets.
Get your tickets by email
Each ticket has its own QR code. Show it on your phone at the door, or print it.
Paying the organizer directly: e-Transfer or cash
Some organizers, often community groups, take Interac e-Transfer or cash at the door. You pay them, not Rallyvio, and there’s no Rallyvio booking fee: you pay exactly the price shown (some organizers add a small fee per ticket, always shown upfront).
Reserve your tickets
Choose your tickets and “Pay the organizer directly”. No card is needed. Your places are held for you.
Get the payment instructions
We email you, and your booking page shows, the e-Transfer email, the exact amount and your booking code (it starts with RV-). Put the code in the e-Transfer message so your payment is matched to you. If cash at the door is allowed, you can pay when you arrive.
The organizer confirms your payment
Either the organizer marks it paid, or Rallyvio matches it automatically from the organizer’s bank notification (code, amount and name). Tap “I’ve sent it” on your booking page so they know to look for it.
Get your QR tickets by email
As soon as your payment is confirmed, your tickets arrive with their QR codes, the same as a card booking. Paying cash at the door? You’re checked in when you pay.
Common questions
Can someone copy my ticket?
Each QR code works once. The first scan at the door checks you in, and any copy after that shows as already used, so keep your ticket to yourself.
How do refunds work?
Each organizer sets their own refund policy, shown on the event page before you buy. Card payments are refunded to your card through Stripe; if an event is cancelled, you get a full refund, fees included. Money you paid the organizer directly (e-Transfer or cash) is refunded by the organizer, because Rallyvio never holds it.
I sent my e-Transfer but my tickets haven’t arrived
Check you included your booking code and the exact amount, and tap “I’ve sent it” on your booking page. If it’s still not confirmed after a day, reply to your booking email: it goes straight to the organizer. Keep your bank’s e-Transfer confirmation until your tickets arrive.
What if I don’t pay in time, or can’t go?
We send a reminder after a day. Some organizers release unpaid bookings after a deadline shown on your booking page, so the places go to someone else. If you can’t go, tap “Cancel this booking” on your booking page; there’s nothing to pay.
What do you keep about me?
Your name, email and what you booked, so we can send your tickets and the organizer can check you in. Stripe keeps your card details. We never see your bank details and never sell your information. See our privacy policy.
