Terms of service
The rules for using Rallyvio, in plain English. Last updated October 12, 2026.
1. What Rallyvio is
Rallyvio is an online platform that lets event organizers sell tickets and lets people book them. Rallyvio isn’t the organizer of the events listed: each event is run by its organizer, who is responsible for it. By using Rallyvio you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.
2. Booking tickets
- When you pay by card, the price you see includes Rallyvio’s booking fee and card processing. It’s the price you pay. When you pay the organizer directly (see section 3), you pay the price shown: the ticket price, plus any small per-ticket fee the organizer shows upfront, with no Rallyvio booking fee.
- Your ticket is a licence to attend the event under the organizer’s conditions. Keep its QR code private: each code works once.
- Refunds follow the policy shown on the event page, set by the organizer. If an event is cancelled, card payments are refunded in full, booking fee included; money paid to the organizer directly is refunded by the organizer (see section 3).
- Where the organizer allows fair returns, you can put a ticket back on sale. When someone else books it, you get the ticket price back; the booking fee isn’t refunded. Until then you can take it back. Reselling tickets anywhere else for more than face value isn’t allowed on Rallyvio.
- Questions about the event itself (times, access, what’s included) go to the organizer, whose contact details are on the event page.
3. Paying the organizer directly (e-Transfer or cash)
Some events let you pay the organizer directly, by Interac e-Transfer or in cash at the door. When you choose this:
- Your booking is a reservation until the organizer’s payment is confirmed. Your tickets, with their QR codes, are issued once it is.
- You pay the organizer, not Rallyvio. Rallyvio doesn’t receive, hold or process this money and can’t refund it. Refunds, and any dispute about a direct payment, are between you and the organizer.
- Send the exact amount to the e-Transfer email shown, with your booking code (starting RV-) in the message, so your payment can be matched. Keep your bank’s confirmation until your tickets arrive.
- Payment is confirmed when the organizer marks your booking paid, or when Rallyvio matches the organizer’s Interac payment notification to your booking (by booking code, amount and name). A notification that doesn’t clearly match is checked by the organizer before your booking is marked paid.
- If the event takes e-Transfer only, an unpaid booking may be released after the deadline shown on your booking page, and its places offered to others. We remind you before then. Bookings you’ve said you’ve paid for, or partly paid, aren’t released automatically.
- If you’ve paid but the organizer hasn’t confirmed it, contact them by replying to your booking email. Rallyvio can pass messages on, but isn’t responsible for money sent outside Rallyvio. If you paid less than the total, the rest is still owed; if you paid twice or too much, the organizer refunds the difference.
- You can cancel a reservation you haven’t paid anything for from your booking page.
4. Organizers
- New organizations are reviewed before they can publish. We may decline or withdraw approval, for example if we can’t confirm who runs an event.
- You’re responsible for your events: that they happen as described, follow the law (including venue, safety, accessibility and tax rules), and that what you say about them is true.
- Ticket money goes to your own Stripe account, under Stripe’s terms. You keep the full ticket price. Buyers pay Rallyvio’s booking fee (currently 40¢ per paid ticket) and card processing; Rallyvio’s fee is shown on our pricing page.
- You honour your refund policy, and refund everyone in full if you cancel. Stripe keeps its processing fee on refunds.
- If you let buyers pay you directly (e-Transfer or cash), that money comes straight to you and Rallyvio never holds it. You confirm payments promptly and honestly (never mark a booking paid that isn’t), and you refund direct payments yourself, including when you cancel or a buyer pays twice. You may add a fee of up to 40¢ per ticket for buyers who pay you directly; it must be shown upfront and is yours to keep. For direct-payment tickets you pay Rallyvio per event: the first 25 are free, then $20 for tickets 26 to 100 and $30 for every further 100, as shown on our pricing page, charged when an event reaches each step. Unpaid charges may lead us to pause direct payments for your events.
- If you use e-Transfer autopilot, you authorise Rallyvio to read the Interac payment notifications you forward, only to match them to bookings, as described in our privacy policy. Forward only notifications for money sent to you.
- You use buyers’ information only to run your event and to contact them about it, and you look after it under privacy law.
- Not allowed: illegal events, events you don’t have the right to sell, misleading listings, hateful or violent content, and anything that puts people at risk.
5. Accounts
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. Keep access to that email secure; you’re responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at hello@rallyvio.com if you think someone else has used it.
6. Fair use
Don’t misuse Rallyvio: no automated buying (bots), no attempts to get around ticket limits, no interfering with the site, and no using it to send spam. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Responsibility
We work hard to keep Rallyvio running and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Organizers are responsible for their events, and Rallyvio isn’t liable for an event itself, for what happens at it, or for an organizer’s acts. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the booking fees you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be limited.
8. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above and tell account holders about important changes. You can stop using Rallyvio at any time. Organizers must still honour tickets already sold.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
