Privacy policy
Plain English, no surprises. Last updated October 10, 2026.
The short version
- We collect what’s needed to sell and check tickets, and nothing for advertising.
- We never sell your information.
- Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies.
- Our database is in Canada.
Who we are
Rallyvio is an online ticketing service at rallyvio.com. Event organizers use it to sell tickets and run their door; ticket buyers use it to book. In this policy, “we” means Rallyvio. Questions or requests: hello@rallyvio.com.
What we collect, and why
When you book tickets
- Your name and email address, to send your tickets, reminders and any updates about the event (such as a change of time or a cancellation).
- Names for each ticket, if the organizer asks for them.
- What you booked, when, and what you paid, so your booking works at the door and can be refunded if needed.
- If you join a waitlist: your name, email and how many tickets you’d like, so we can tell you when tickets come back.
When you have an account (organizers, or buyers who sign in)
- Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code or link. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture address; we don’t get your Google password or anything else from your Google account.
- For organizers: your organization’s details, events, team members, and the settings you choose (such as logo, contact details and email preferences).
When you visit event pages
We count visits so organizers can see how their events are doing. We don’t use cookies for this and we don’t store IP addresses. Each visit is recorded with a one-way code that changes every day (so we can count a browser once per day without being able to follow it from day to day), the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer), the page, and the site that sent you, if any.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe on the organizer’s own Stripe account. Stripe collects your card details directly and processes them under its own privacy policy. We receive the payment result and amount, not your card number.
Some organizers let you pay them directly, by Interac e-Transfer or cash. That money goes straight to them, not through Rallyvio. If an organizer forwards their e-Transfer notification emails to Rallyvio to match payments automatically, we read the sender’s name, the amount and the message to find the booking, keep only that result (deleted after 120 days), and never store the email itself or any bank details.
Cookies
We only use cookies that the site needs to work: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers which organization you’re working on. No advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics.
Who we share information with
- The event organizer. When you book, the organizer of that event sees your name, email, what you booked and whether you’ve checked in, so they can run their event. Organizers are responsible for how they use it, and may email you about the event. If an organizer has connected their own system, your booking details are sent there too. Door staff’s phones keep a copy of the attendee list during the event so check-in works without signal.
- Service providers that run Rallyvio for us, only for that purpose: Supabase (database and sign-in, data stored in Canada), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending emails), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (domain and email routing) and Google (only if you use Google sign-in). Some of these may process information in the United States.
- When the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.
We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Bookings and payment records are kept as long as needed for refunds, disputes, and tax and accounting rules (usually up to seven years for payment records). Visit records contain no names, emails or IP addresses. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we’ll remove what we don’t have to keep by law.
Your choices and rights
- See the information we have about you, or ask for a copy.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to what we must keep by law.
- Stop optional emails (organizers’ summaries and alerts can be switched off anytime).
- Withdraw consent, and complain to a privacy regulator if you’re not satisfied.
Email hello@rallyvio.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. In Canada you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Tickets use codes that can’t be guessed, booking links are private, and our team’s access is limited to what’s needed. No system is perfect: if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you.
Children
Rallyvio isn’t meant for children under 13 to use on their own. A parent or guardian can book tickets for them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, for bigger changes, let account holders know by email.
